By default, any scans that don't match a consignment in your account appear on the Unknown Scans page.
To access: Go to Reports > Administration > Unknown Scans
There are two main reasons a scan won't match to a consignment:
The Unknown Scans page stores unmatched scans so the system can periodically check for matches. When a new Barcode Format is added or consignment data becomes available, the system automatically moves matched scans to the relevant consignment.
Note: This page displays any type of scan that has failed to match a consignment.
When you arrive at the Unknown Scans page, you'll see a list of unmatched scans with columns showing information about each scan.
You can add or remove columns using the Column Selector:
Click and hold a column, then drag it to rearrange the left-to-right order in your grid.
If needed, you can apply your column configuration to agent, customer, or staff users using the toggle buttons.
Important: Test these settings thoroughly to ensure results match your expectations. After adding/removing columns or updating user settings, click Update to save your changes.
Use the date selector to view Unknown Scans from a specific time period.
Note: Results are based on the scanned date/time. For example, if a scan was performed on the 22nd, it will only appear if your date range includes the 22nd.
To export the grid data:
Transvirtual automatically checks your Unknown Scans at regular intervals to find matches. However, as scans age, the system checks less frequently.
If you've recently added a new Barcode Format rule or consignment data, you can manually check for matches:
Check the boxes next to the scans you want to re-check.
Click the Menu icon at the top of the screen.
A popup will appear asking you to wait while the system checks these scans against consignments in your account.
If new matches are found, the scans will be removed from this page and attached to the relevant consignments.
