OVERVIEW

The Transvirtual mobile app allows you to create scan events for freight as it moves through the consignment cycle.


How To Scan

1. Access the Scan page

On the mobile home screen, tap the Scan icon.

 
                                                                                                           

2. Configure scan settings

Before scanning, set up the following options based on your scan type:

  • Headport: Your depot location where the scan will be recorded
  • Scan Type: The type of scan based on where the freight is in its lifecycle (mandatory field)
  • Scan Tag: Any additional tags to record against the scan
  • Destination: (Linehaul scans only) The destination location for the freight
  • Select Vehicle: (Linehaul scans only) The vehicle being used for linehaul

 

3. Perform the scan

After selecting your settings:

  • Tap the Barcode Scanner icon to scan the barcode, OR
  • Manually enter the barcode in the "Enter/Scan barcode" field

Note: Scans are saved automatically—no manual save required.

Scan type is the mandatory field when creating Manifest.


Creating a Scan Manifest

After performing your scans, you can create a scan manifest:

1. Open the manifest menu

  • Tap the menu icon (☰) at the top right corner
  • Tap Create Manifest

 

2. Configure manifest options

Choose from the following options:

  • Scans from current user only: Include all scans from your business, or limit to the current user only
  • Limit to scan tag: Restrict the manifest to the current scan tag on this device (only visible if you selected a scan tag)
  • Scans to include: Set the timeframe for which scans will be included in the manifest

3. Create the manifest

Tap the Create button to generate the scan manifest.


LINEHAUL MANIFEST


 

1. Configure linehaul scan settings

On the scan screen, select:

  • Headport: Your current location (from dropdown)
  • Scan Type: Select "Linehaul Out" (from dropdown)
  • Scan Tag: Choose the appropriate tag (from dropdown)
  • Destination: Select the destination headport
  • Select Vehicle: (Optional) Update the vehicle by tapping Select Vehicle and choosing from the list

2. Scan the items

Tap the Barcode Scanner icon and scan your items.

3. Create the manifest

After scanning is complete:

  1. Tap the menu icon (☰) at the top right corner
  2. Tap Create Manifest

                                              

4. Configure manifest options

Choose from:

  • Scans from current user only: Include all scans or limit to current user
  • Limit to scan tag: Restrict to the current scan tag
  • Scans to include: Set the timeframe for included scans

5. Finalize

Tap Create to generate the linehaul manifest.

EQUIPMENT CHECK 

Transvirtual allows you to declare equipment types associated with scans.

Basic Equipment Check

1. Access equipment check

After performing a scan, tap the Equip Check button.


 

2. Enter equipment quantities

The scan freight page displays available equipment types. Manually enter the number of each equipment type associated with the item being scanned.


3. Save

Tap Save to record the equipment count.

Time-saving tip: Use the "Future scans" section to set default equipment counts that will automatically apply to subsequent scans. 

 

The count will decrease as you perform more scans.

Note: The Equip Check button is only visible if Allow Equipment Control Module is enabled at Configuration > General > Global Setup > General tab > Modules section.
 


ADVANCED EQUIPMENT CHECK

Note: Advanced Equipment Check requires the Advanced Mobile Equipment toggle to be enabled at Configuration > General > Global Setup > Modules section.

1. Scan the consignment

On the scan screen, scan the consignment first. After a successful scan, two buttons appear: Equip Check and Weight Check.

2. Select equipment

Tap Equip Check, then select the applicable equipment (Pallet, Carton, etc.). You'll return to the scan screen automatically.

3. Review equipment assignments

To view selected equipment for a consignment:

  1. Go to the web portal and navigate to the consignment detail
  2. Click the History tab
  3. In the Scans section, view scans and equipment counts in the Tag/Comments column
WEIGHT CHECK

You can edit or add weight information for scanned consignments.

1. Access weight check

After scanning, tap the Weight Check button.


 

2. Enter weight and dimensions

Manually enter:

  • Weight
  • Dimensions (Length, Height, Width)

3. Save

Tap Save to record the information.
