In the Transvirtual mobile app, you can create scan events for freight as it moves through the Consignment cycle.
Scanning
1. To see the scan page, on mobile home screen, tap on the Scan icon, you will be presented with the below screen.
2. From here you have various options depend on the type of scan you are performing.
Headport: This is your depot location within your business so the scan can be recorded against the correct location.
Scan Type: This is the type of scan your recording dependant on where the associated freight is at in its life.
Scan Tag: Any additional tags can be setup and recorded against scans.
Destination: With linehaul scans you will have the additional option of a destination location for where the freight is destined.
Select Vehicle: Additionally, with linehaul scans you will have the option to define the vehicle used for the linehaul.
3. Select the settings associated with the scans to be performed as above and then either tap on the Barcode Scanner icon to scan the barcode or manually enter the barcode in Enter/Scan barcode field as shown above.
4. There is no requirement to save scans this happens automatically.
Scan type is the mandatory field when creating Manifest.
Scan Manifest
1. Once you have performed your scans you can create a scan manifest, to do so tap on the menu icon () located at the top right-hand corner and then tap on the Create Manifest button as shown below.
2. Once you tap on the create manifest button, you will be redirected to few manifest options as describe below (Refer screen 03).
Scans from current user only: Manifests will be created from all scans of this type performed in your business or this can be limited to current user only.
Limit to scan tag: The manifest can be limited to the current scan tag on this device.
You will see this option if you select the scan tag.
Scans to include: This allows you to change the timeframe over which scans performed will be included in the manifest.
3. Once you choose the appropriate options, tap on the Create button to create scan manifest.
Linehaul Manifest
1. To create a linehaul manifest follow the steps as describe below.
2. On scan screen select the details as follows:
Headport: Select the headport (Current Location) with the help of drop and down button.
Scan Type: Select the scan type (Linehaul Out) with the help of drop and down button.
Scan Tag: Select the scan tag with the help of drop and down button.
Destination: Select the destination of the linehaul (Headports as setup within your account).
Select Vehicle: If needed you can update the vehicle, to update the vehicle, tap on Select Vehicle button, select the applicable vehicle from the list.
3. After step 2, tap on barcode scanner icon and perform the scan. Once scanning is completed, tap on the menu icon () located at the top right-hand corner as shown below.
4. Now tap on Create Manifest to create a linehaul manifest.
5. Once you tap on the create manifest button, you will be redirected to few manifest options as describe below.
Scans from current user only: Manifests will be created from all scans of this type performed in your business or this can be limited to current user only.
Limit to scan tag: The manifest can be limited to the current scan tag on this device.
Scans to include: This allows you to change the timeframe over which scans performed will be included in the manifest.
6. Once you choose the appropriate options, tap on the Create button to create linehaul manifest.
Equipment Check
1. When performing scans, Transvirtual has the ability to declare equipment types associated with these scans. Once a scan has been performed you will see the Equip Check button as shown below.
2. Now, tap on the Equip Check button as shown above, scan freight page will display, where you can see the equipment list as shown below.
3. Manually enter the number of each equipment type associated with this item being scanned, and then tap on Save button as shown below.
If you have multiple scans for same equipment then you have an option here, to manually enter the number in the Future scans section, this will help you to automatically fill the equipment count as shown below.
4. Once the count has been applied to the subsequent scans, you can see this count on the scanning screen as shown below, this number will reduce as subsequent scans are performed.
This Equip Check button will be visible, if you enable the Allow Equipment Control Module toggle button in Yes position. To navigate Equipment Control Module toggle button, go to Configuration > General > Global Setup, on general tab, go to Modules section as shown below.
Advanced Equipment Check
1. On the scan screen, scan the consignment first. Once the consignment is successfully scanned, two buttons will appear, i.e., Equip Check and Weight Check.
2. Tap on Equip Check, the equipment check screen will display (refer to screen 02).
3. Now, select the applicable equipment like Pallet, Carton etc, after selecting, you will return to the scan screen.
4. To review the equipment(s), you selected for a particular consignment, on the web, navigate to the consignment detail and then click on History tab. In the Scans section, you can view the scans along with the equipment count in the Tag/Comments section (refer to screen 03).
This advance equipment check will work if you enable the Advanced Mobile Equipment toggle.
To navigate Advanced Mobile Equipment toggle, go to Configuration > General > Global Setup, go to Modules section.
Weight Check
1. In Transvirtual, you can edit/add the weight of scanned consignment. To edit/add the weight, after scanning tap on the Weight Check button, the weight screen will open as shown below.
2. Now manually enter the Weight and Dimensions (Length, Height, Width) value and then tap on the Save button.
If you have multiple scans for same equipment then you have an option here, to manually enter the number in the Future scans section, this will help you to automatically fill the weight, or dimensions as shown below.
To weight check button will be visible, if you enable the Allow Reweighting toggle in Yes position. To navigate the Allow Reweighting toggle, go to Configuration > General > Global Setup, on General tab, go to Scanning section as shown below.
