BI Reporting
When you need the ultimate level of flexibility and customisation with your reporting to drive your analysis and effective decision making processes, a BI reporting option is the stand out choice.
What do you get?
Your own private read only MySQL database that's hosted within our existing network infrastructure and managed and maintained by us.
You're free to choose your own BI reporting tool. You can manage this in-house or source specialist BI reporting contractors to setup and manage your requirements.
Synchronisation
Every 5 minutes, we'll complete a full sync of changes to your highest priority data. This includes the last 7 days of consignments and associated information. Note that a range of different data sets are used, so these values may vary slightly.
Each evening (every 24 hours) we'll also sync changes to lower priority data going back up to 6 months.
Costs
An initial once off setup cost
Ongoing weekly hosting and maintenance charge.
There is no ongoing obligation or contract required. At any time, if this option isn't working for you, let us know and we'll shut it down and stop charging you.
Considerations
This BI option is only available when hosted within our server infrastructure. Hosting on alternative options such as your own, or other 3rd party infrastructure is not supported. The main reasons for this are:
Performance - There is a huge amount of data being synced so the performance of both our internal infrastructure and your BI database needs to be closely monitored and regularly reviewed and optimised.
Access - We require 24x7 access to the BI database to carry out our monitoring, maintenance and updates. As with everything in TransVirtual, we never stop growing and improving so you will receive periodic updates to increase the scope of data available for use.
Updates - In order to keep our platform consistent and our development and overheads under control, every BI database has the same structure. Requests for additional data will be considered for roll out across all our BI databases. Customisation and changes to individual databases creates another layer of complexity that requires management so won't be considered.
