Warehouse - Locations

A warehouse is enclosed building or place, used for the storage, handling, and distribution of goods, materials, or products.

Warehouse creation is the first step after which the entire WMS process follows. Here, user can create single warehouse or multiple warehouses set up under different location in his account.
1. To see the Warehouse List page, go to Warehouse > Configuration and Set up > Warehouse Location, the warehouse list page will display as shown below. 


To add a Warehouse

1. To add a new warehouse, on warehouse list page, click on Create Warehouse, a pop-up to Create a new warehouse will display as shown below.


2. Now, manually enter the warehouse name and then click on Create to add the warehouse. Once warehouse is successfully created it will display on the warehouse list as shown below.
  

3. Now, click on the newly added warehouse, the detail of the warehouse will display on the right side of the screen as shown below.


Add/Edit the Warehouse Details

1. You can add/update the warehouse details as describe below:

      a. Name: This field is used to update the Warehouse name. 
      b. Linking a Headport: To select a headport, click on drop-down and select the applicable warehouse.

Every warehouse created can be linked to a headport derived from the Transport Management System. This essentially pins your warehouse to a designated location, allowing multiple warehouses for different areas.
Notes
Headports can be created via Configuration > List and Zones> Zones directory.
      c. Default Bin Type: By default, the bin type selected will be "Standard Bin" however you can choose a different default with the help of drop down.
InfoBin list consists of Bin Types that can be created via Warehouse > Configuration and Set up > Warehouse-Bin Types > Create Bin Types. 
       d. Assign a default picker [Optional]: Every movement inside the warehouse can be assigned to a dedicated staff member. Once the user chooses a staff member, all the moves in this warehouse will automatically assign to the selected staff member.
NotesStaff list can be generated by creating Staff, Go to Warehouse > Configuration and Set up > Staff List > Add "New User".
      e. Enable: Use toggle button, to enable or disable the rule.
      f. Enable Automatic Bin Allocation for Sales Order (SO): If you wish to enable the automatic bin allocation for a SO, click on the toggle in Yes position.
2. Once changes have been made, click on Update to save the changes. 
3. Once the warehouse set up is completed, the user can click on "View Warehouse Zone Setup" to set up /edit /view the warehouse zones.

To delete a Warehouse

1. If you wish to delete a warehouse, on warehouse list click on the delete icon of the related warehouse, a confirmation pop-up will display.



2. Click on Yes, the applicable warehouse will be deleted from the database.
