Public Holidays

This page in TransVirtual, lists any upcoming Public Holidays and what dates they are to occur. The main purpose of this page is to assist with pricing and expected delivery dates of consignments.
To see this page, go to Configuration > Lists and Zones > Public Holidays.

To add a Format

1. To add a public holiday, on Public Holidays page, click on Add Format button as shown below.

2. When you click on Add format button, Create or edit a public holiday popup will display as shown below.

When setting up Transit Times for ETAs, there is the ability to ignore/skip or include Public Holidays. Public Holiday dates will be added from this section.
3. Now manually enter the details i.e., Public Holiday Name, Date, Limit to State and select Not a Holiday with the help of toggle button in Yes position.
1. Limit to State function limits the public holiday to a particular state (If Necessary).
2. Use toggle of Not a holiday, if a system holiday exists on same date and you do not want to use it. For example, there may be a Holiday listed but it doesn't apply to where you are located. Toggling this is a way to ignore the system holiday so that it is no longer a holiday from your perspective.
4. Once you done with step 3, click on Update button to save the changes.
1. All of the major Public Holidays should be listed in this page by default.
2. If you notice that there is one that is not listed and should be, you can either add in using the above method or contact the team at TransVirtual (support@transvirtual.com) who can update if the holiday is nationwide or should apply at a state level/to multiple states etc.
