POP-UP NOTE CONFIGURATION
The Popup Note is the message
that will be displayed to drivers in the mobile app. This field is mandatory
when enabling a rule.
Best Practices:
• Use
clear, concise instructional language
• Tell
the driver exactly what action to take next
• Keep messages brief and easy to read on mobile devices
EXAMPLE
Refer below example to force a driver/mobile user to take a photo on an ATL (Authority to Leave) or LAI (Left as Instructed) delivery. The way to do this is using the Mobile Driver Alerts section of TransVirtual.
1. To do so, on Mobile Alert page, click on Create Alert button, create a new export rule pop-up will display.
2. Now fill the detail, i.e., Alert Name and then select the Popup Alert type. In this example the Alert Type is Force Photo on Left as Instr and then click on Create button as shown below, the new rule will display on Mobile Alert Rules tab in Orange Color.
Note: You can use the Mobile Driver Alerts Page to setup the forcing of photos for other delivery events such as Card Left etc. The setup is much the same with the main difference being the type of Popup Alert Type selected; this is a big list with many options.
3. Now click on this rule, the rule detail will open in the right side of the page as shown below.
4. Now, manually fill the detail i.e., Popup Notes and Additional Logic, in this example we are keep Additional Logic field as blank and in Popup Note we keep Test.
1. The Popup Note is the Mandatory field while enable the rule.
2. The Popup Notes field is what the driver/mobile user will see. It is probably a good idea to have this as an instructional field-one that tells the user what to do next.
5.Now enable the rule by clicking on Toggle and make it in Yes position and then click on Update button to save the changes. Once this has been done the alert/rule will turn from orange to white, which means that the alert is now active as shown below.
DATA FILTER
The Data Filter section allows
you to define specific conditions that trigger the mobile alert. This provides
granular control over when alerts are displayed.
EXAMPLE USE CASES
• Customer-specific
alerts: Trigger an alert when Customer Name = "ABC Company"
• Location-based
alerts: Trigger an alert for specific delivery zones or postcodes
• Service-type alerts: Trigger an alert for
specific service levels or product types
No further setup is required but it may take a little while for this new alert/rule to flow across to the devices and start working; however it should not take too long. This also requires the mobile devices to have a version of 208 or later to work correctly.
