Example - Force a photo on ATL/LAI deliveries
TransVirtual has the ability to force a driver/mobile user to take a photo on an ATL or LAI delivery (Authority To Leave or Left As Instructed). The way to do this is using the Mobile Driver Alerts section of TransVirtual; Settings > General > Mobile Driver Alerts.
Once you have navigated to the correct page as per above, click on the blue "Create Alert" button:
Enter in what you wish to name this alert and select Force Photo on Left as Instr. Then hit Create:
Note: You can use the Mobile Driver Alerts Page to setup the forcing of photos for other delivery events such as Card Left etc. The setup is much the same with the main difference being the type of Popup Alert Type selected; this is a big list with many options.
Once you do this you will see the rule you have just created appear on the left-hand side coloured orange-this means the rule/alert is not yet active. Click on this rule and you will see its corresponding settings appear on the right-hand side:
The Popup Notes field is what the driver/mobile user will see. It is probably a good idea to have this as an instructional field-one that tells the user what to do next.
Ensure that once all settings are correct you enable the rule using the toggle and then click update in the top-right. Once this has been done the alert/rule will turn from orange to white-meaning the alert is now active:
No further setup is required but it may take a little while for this new alert/rule to flow across to the devices and start working; however it should not take too long. This also requires the mobile devices to have a version of 208 or later to work correctly.
