Job Creation - Online Portal QSG

Create Consignment for Pickup

Minimum desirable steps/information

1.      To create a consignment, on TMS web portal go to Home > Consignment, consignment page will open, now click on the Create Consignments button, the consignment creation page will open.

2.      [Staff user] Select a customer from the drop-down list to assign to the consignment.

3.      [Customer user] The Customer will be preselected.

4.      Enter Senders and Receivers Information. Tab on keyboard to move through fields.

5.      Enter the item(s) details for the consignment in the 'Consignments Items' section at the bottom of the page. Tab to add new lines. Minimum required information are as follows:

a.      Qty

b.      Total Weight

c.      Dimensions (Length, Width, Height).

6.      Enter any Other Information in the right-hand column.

7.      Now, click on the Save (or Enter on keyboard) at the bottom of the page to create the consignment.

8.      Success message displayed at top of page in green including links to view/print Consignment Note and Labels. Auto print options are available.


Common Information Required during Consignment Creation

Pickup Details

·        Pickup Special Instructions - An area to describe any instructions to the driver about the pickup.

·        Ready Date/Time - Allows you to define a date & time that the pickup can be performed.

·        Booking Note - Allows for any extra information that is relevant to the delivery.

·        Close Time - Allows you to define a cutoff time for delivery.

Delivery Details

·        Special Instructions - An area to describe any instructions to the driver about the delivery.

·        Booking Time - Allows you to define a date & time that the delivery can be delivered.

·        Booking Note - Allows for any extra information that is relevant to the delivery.

·        Close time - Allows you to define a cutoff time for delivery.

 

Point to Point: Set this toggle to yes if you require the driver to do both legs of the consignment being pickup and delivery directly without returning to depot.

Additional Services: Available to select when creating the consignment if configured.

Equipment/Pallet Counts: Available to select if configured.

Customer Price: Calc Price Estimate available if the rates are configured. This will provide available rate(s) for the details entered.
