Dangerous Goods

Dangerous Goods are the materials or substances that pose risks to health, safety, property, or the environment. These goods can be flammable, toxic, explosive, corrosive, or otherwise hazardous. They are often regulated by government agencies to ensure safe handling, transport, and storage. In Transvirtual you can edit, add and utilise the dangerous list goods.
1. To see the dangerous goods page, go to Setup > Consignments > Dangerous Goods, the Dangerous Goods List page will display as shown below.


2. On dangerous goods page, you can see the list of dangerous goods where you can see dangerous good name, UN number, proper shipping and ClassDivision.
UN Number (United Nations number) is a four-digit code used to identify specific dangerous goods in international trade and transport. Each UN number corresponds to a particular substance or group of substances that have similar hazardous properties. The UN numbers help ensure proper handling, transport, and emergency response in case of incidents.

To Add a New Dangerous Goods

1. To add a new dangerous goods, on dangerous goods list page, click on Add, a po-up to Create a new dangerous goods entry will display, as shown below.

 
2. Fill the required details i.e., UN Number, Proper Shipping Name, Class/Division, Subsidiary Risk, Packing Group, Description, Display Value and Active (With the help of toggle button).
UN Number is mandatory field when creating a new dangerous goods.
Use toggle button in Active position to enable newly added dangerous goods.
3. After step 2, click on Create to add the dangerous goods. 

To Update Dangerous Goods List

1. To update any existing dangerous goods list, first select the applicable dangerous goods by clicking on it, the detail of dangerous goods will be display on right side of the screen a s shown below.



2. Now, update/add the applicable detail as follows.
      - UN Number
      - Proper Shipping Name
      - Class/Division
      - Subsidiary Risk
      - Packing Group
      - Description
      - Display Value
      - Active the Dangerous Goods
3. Once you update/add the applicable detail, click on Update to save the change.
4. On dangerous goods detail section, you can change the image and can set the limit of this (these) dangerous goods to specific customer(s).

Limit to a Customer

1. To limit certain Dangerous Goods to a specific customer, click on the Limit Customer, the Limit customer tab will open, where you can see the customer list as shown below.


2. First select the applicable customer from the customer list by clicking on their name. Once you do this, a checkbox for each dangerous good will appear as shown below.


3. Click the checkbox next to each applicable dangerous good. This will restrict those dangerous goods to the selected customer.

Change Image

1. To change the image, click on Change Image button, the change image tab will open as shown below.

  
2. Now either drop the image in the selected field or can select the image from your database, the image will automatically save here.
3. If you want to delete any image, simply click on the delete icon, a confirmation popup will come, click on Yes, I want to, the file will be deleted from the database as shown below.
  


How to Add Dangerous Goods to a Consignment

1. You can add Dangerous Goods to Consignment either while creating a new consignment or can add at any existing consignment also.
2. To add Dangerous Goods in any existing consignment, first go to consignment page and then select applicable consignment by clicking on it, consignment detail page will open as shown below. 



3. Now, first click on Edit Mode Checkbox to enable the edit setting and then go to Other Information tab and click on Select button as shown above, the dangerous goods list will come as shown below.

 

4. Now, select the applicable dangerous good from the list and then click on OK button to save the changes.
If there are more dangerous goods and you cannot see them in the list, then you can filter them by enter the any of the detail(s) below of the Title Name, UN Number, Proper Shipping and Class Division.
5. To add dangerous goods at the time of consignment creation, then follow the steps 3 and 4 as shown below.
