Customer Account Hold/Consignment Hold

Customer Account Hold/Consignment Hold

How to place Customer Account on Hold or a consignment on Hold

You may, from time to time, need to put a Customer's account on Hold or place a consignment on hold. You can do both of these things in TransVirtual and the How To is detailed below.

Placing a Customer Account on Hold

1. Go to Home > Card Files > Customer List. From here select the customer you wish to place on Hold-double click to enter their customer card.

2. In their customer card enter the finance tab, and once you do you will see a similar screen to the one below:

3. Toggle the Account on Hold setting to YES to enable. Once this has been set, that customer will no longer be able to create any consignments.
Info
Note: Super Admins are still able to create jobs for that customer if required; they will be displayed with a warning after consignment creation advising them that this customer has been placed on hold.

Placing a consignment on Hold

1. Find the consignment you wish to place on Hold either by typing in the consignment number to the search field at the top of the page:

Or by going to Home > Consignment Actions > Search Consignments:

2. Once you have located the correct appropriate consignment, click on the button located in the top-left:

3. This is the consignment setting and actions button and once clicked you will see a screen like this:

4. Toggle the Delivery on Hold to YES and enter in the text (in the below field-Hold Comment to Driver) you want to be displayed to mobile users when they load scan this consignment.

5. Once you have adjusted these settings you will notice that the job is now on Hold:

Info
Note: You may need to refresh the page after you click the Action button in the previous step for this message to appear straight away-the job has still been placed on Hold even though you may not be able to see this message straight away; page refresh after actioning will resolve this and display the new message.

6. Now, when a mobile user goes to load scan this consignment they will be displayed with a warning that will have the error message that you typed in the 'Hold Comment to Driver' field (this is also the same warning that is displayed when a Customer Account is on Hold):

Generally speaking the mobile user would then press CANCEL being that the job is on Hold. However if needed, and once permission granted from a Supervisor, the mobile user can override this warning message which will then add the job to the device for delivery as normal.
