Auto Consignment Consolidation

Auto Consignment Consolidation refers to the process of grouping multiple consignments that have the same sender and receiver addresses and match the criteria set up at the time of rule creation. This article explains how to set up the Auto Consignment Consolidation rule.
To add a rule for auto consignment consolidation, on FMS web app, go to Setup > Rules and Automation > Auto Consignment Consolidation, the auto consignment consolidation page will display as shown below. 

  

Add a New Rule

1. To add a new rule, on auto consignment consolidation page, click on New Rule, a pop-up New Rule will display as shown below.


2. Manually enter the Rule name, then click Create to add the new rule. The rule will appear in the Export Rules list and will be highlighted in orange color, as shown below.

The Orange color shows that this rule is not yet active.
3. Now, click on the new rule and the details for this rule will appear on the right side of the page, as shown below. Here you can add/update the detail of the rule as applicable.


Edit/Add the Rule Details

The rules detail page has two different tabs i.e., Rule Details and Data Filter.

Rule Details

1. On rule detail page have three different sections i.e., General Details, Pickup Details and Delivery details where you can add/update the relevant fields.
      a. General: In this section you can add/update the basic details of the rule as described below:
            i. Rule Name: If needed, you can update the rule name.
            ii. Enable: Click on the toggle to Yes to activate the rule.
            iii. Consignment Date: Select the consignment creation date using the drop-down button either Same day or Any other day.
            iv. Booking Time: Select the consignment booking time using the drop and down button, either Same Time or Any (Earlier/Later).
            v. Service Level: Select the service level using the drop and down button, either Same or Any (Keep Original Con/Take new Con).
            vi. Dangerous Goods: Select the dangerous good using the drop and down button, either Same or Any (Combine).
            vii. Signature Required: Select the signature required with the help of drop and down button, either Same or Any (Keep Original Con/Take new Con).
            viii. Carrier Assigned: Use the toggle button in Yes position to assign carrier.
            ix. Scans Exist: Use toggle button in Yes position if you wish to scan the consignments.


      b. Pickup Details: In this section you can add the pickup details as describe below:
            i. Ready Date: Use the drop-down button to select the applicable pickup ready date i.e., Same Only, Any (Keep Original Con/Take New Con).
            ii. Time Range Type: Use the drop-down button to select the applicable pickup time range i.e., Same Only, Any (Keep Original Con/Take New Con).
            iii. Time Between: Use the drop-down button to select the applicable pickup time i.e., Same Only, Any (Keep Original Con/Take New Con).
            iv. Close Time: Use the drop-down button to select the applicable pickup time i.e., Same Only, Any (Keep Original Con/Take New Con).


      c. Delivery Details: In this section you can add the delivery details as describe below:
            i. Ready Date: Use the drop-down button to select the applicable delivery date i.e., Same Only, Any (Keep Original Con/Take New Con).
            ii. Time Range Type: Use the drop-down button to select the applicable delivery time range i.e., Same Only, Any (Keep Original Con/Take New Con).
            iii. Time Between: Use the drop-down button to select the applicable delivery time i.e., Same Only, Any (Keep Original Con/Take New Con).
            iv. Close Time: Use the drop-down button to select the applicable delivery time i.e., Same Only, Any (Keep Original Con/Take New Con).
2. Once fields are updated/added, click on Update to save the changes.

Data Filter           

Data filters are the driving force behind how the system determines when the rule will and won't apply to a consignment.
1. To see the data filter section, on consignment detail screen, click on Data Filter tab, the Data Filter section will display.
2. On data filter section, select the details for Select Field, then Logic and finally Value and then click on Updatethe rule will save as shown below.
 
NotesIn this example, we used Customer Name in Select Field, Equal in Logic and Carlos in Value field.
 3. The above data filter works only on when a customer name is Carlos, if you wish you can add multiple filters in a similar way.

Delete a Rule

1. If you wish to delete any existing rule, on Auto Consignment Consolidation page, click Delete icon irrespective of the rule, a confirmation pop-up will display as shown below.
       
2. Click the Yes button to delete the Tax Rate from the database.
